Michael Kalafatas, who recently retired from Brandeis University after thirty-five years in the Office of Admissions, has joined Susan Simon at Admissions Advantage in Weston, Massachusetts. For twenty-three years Michael served as Director of Admissions at Brandeis. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University and a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Harvard University. Michael has spoken widely on selective college admissions, including how to improve your chances for admission to the colleges of your choice through the use of the college essay and interview. Michael is the author of “How to Make the Most of Your College Visit” in Campus Visit: The Official Visitor’s Guide to the Region’s Top Colleges. His book, The Bellstone: The Greek Sponge Divers of the Aegean, One American’s Journey Home, was published in the spring of 2003 by Brandeis University Press.
